It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Fotios Dionatos at the age of 78 years. From very humble beginnings in Riza, Kefalonia, arriving in Canada in 1963, he worked relentlessly to create a better life for all of us. He is survived by his forever-loving wife of over 50 years, Maria and cherished father to Denis (Athanasia), Jenny (Nigel), and Yannis (Natalie) and grandfather to Andreas, Marques, Elisabeth- Maria, Sierra, Anthony, and Andrew-Fotaki. He also leaves in mourning his dearest sister in law, Vicky Tomaras, to whom he was a big brother, sister-in-law Katerina Bobotas, and sister Katerina Dionatos. Loving aunt in Greece, Theodora Grigoratos and cousins: Maria, Dionysios, Tassia, Kosmas Grigoratos, and families. His cousin Adonis, with whom he was inseparable, wife Liza and families. Dearest niece Sofia Tomaras (Michael and children), nephew Leonidas and children. Many nephews and nieces, relatives and friends, in Canada, Greece, and Australia.
His kindness, generosity, and tirelessness was felt in numerous significant causes in the local community. It will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Society of Laval.
