Maria Manoloulis (née Kanellia)
March 5, 1938 - December 23, 2020
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Maria Manoloulis (née Kanellia) at the age of 82. She passed away peacefully on December 23rd with both her children by her side. Predeceased by her cherished husband Thomas, her beloved sister Paraskevi and brothers Ioannis, Dimitrios and Thomas. Beloved and cherished mother of John and Bessy Manoloulis, Viki and Laki Papanastasoulis and loving grandmother of Ioanna, Thomas and Dimitri. She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-laws Maria and Georgia and her many nieces and nephews. Her love and faith in God helped her through many difficult times in her life. She was an incredible lady, loving and kindhearted and her family was her pride and joy. Her nurturing and guidance instilled values in us that made us who we are today. We will forever miss her, love her and cherish all the wonderful memories. We find comfort in knowing that after 27 years apart, she is now reunited with her husband. Our Christmas Angel has earned her wings and is free to fly.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and staff of the 10th floor of Sainte-Anne’s Veterans Hospital for the exceptional and compassionate care of our beloved mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Montreal.
