I have struggled with my words for days trying to process this loss, absolutely devastating the loss of my smart, handsome cousin Joe. I can’t imagine the heartache for you all. My deepest sympathies Tammy, Orv and Gena.

Dave and Gill Heuff

The loss of Joe is truly heart wrenching. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends. Joe was very special to our family. His impressive warmth, sense of humor, and intellect were just of few of the reasons we all wanted to be around him. His care and friendship extended to our sons as well, who will miss him dearly. We will cherrish the memory of them jumping with excitement running around his cottage, and out on his boat where they took turns sitting on his lap and steering. While this is incredibly painful to write, we consider ourselves privileged to have been able to spend time with a friend like Joe, even if it was only for a short time.

Joanna Bailey

Joe came to visit us in the UK earlier this year, and we bonded over espresso martinis and sushi. He was a lively, talented, kind and very smart guy, who will be sorely missed by anyone who knew him. Deepest sympathies to his family at this very difficult time.

Burry Jen

Thinking of you all and wishing you moments of peace and comfort as you remember Joe. He was the little brother I always wanted and holds a huge piece of my heart. Even though he is gone he will always be in my memories and heart. I'm sending thoughts of peace and courage your way. Sending you strength to get through this impossible time. I love you all.

Words can't express how sorry I am for your loss. In high school Joe was a force of nature, his energy was so positive and infectious that it seemed that he always had a funny one-liner or thought that would make everyone laugh.

I met Joe in 2018 when I called him up and convinced him to join my golf club. From the moment we met, it was clear what kind of person he was; brilliant, hard working, thoughtful and compassionate. He was overly complimentary yet humble, self-deprecating yet confident. I respected him so much for what he accomplished in so little time. He was the most generous man I've ever met. Being friends with Joe was a privilege and I will never forget him.
