It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Lody (Nahas) Ayoup, on April 6 2022, at the age of 94.

Mom finally found peace after a brave battle with cancer.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the wonderful and compassionate caregivers and nurses at Manoir West Island in Pierrefonds, Quebec.

Our dear mother Lody was born in Tripoli, Lebanon, April 1st 1928. Daughter of the late Dr. Antoine and Gora Nahas (Ghorayeb), and sister of the late Nanette Nahas (Naffah).

She was a devoted wife to the late George Ayoup, from Zahle, Lebanon and loving mother to her children, Michael, Richard (Marlene) and Gina (Paul) and her “angel” baby Peggy.

Mom was a devoted and faithful Christian of St George Orthodox Church.

Whenever and wherever she could, she graciously volunteered her time and belonged to many church organizations.

Family was always her number one priority and nothing made her happier then watching and helping her children raise families of their own. She will always be a special “Taita” to Alexander (Vicky), Nicola (Vanessa), Christopher, Patrick, Gregory (Jenna), Samantha (Nicolas) and David (Ashley), as well as a special “Great-Taita” to Julia and Lucas. She was a pillar of strength to all.

She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada as well as in Lebanon.

Visitation will be held at

St George Church, 555 Jean-Talon E., Montreal, Qc on monday, april 11, 2022 at 9:30 am

followed by a service at 11 am.
