George Hans Wascher, born in Graz Austria on August 13, 1933 and living In Montreal, Canada, died on August 10, 2023 at 3pm at 89 years of age.

George leaves behind his wife of 60 years Marie-Thérèse Barrau, his children Karine Wascher, Yasmine Tretrop, Peter Wascher, Manon Wascher, his grandchildren Alexander, Skye, Oliver, Calista, Azad, his in laws Alix, Eric, Raymonde, Monique, and his many nephews and nieces.

 

George was an electrical engineer, avid reader, photographer, thinker, gardener, and « bon vivant »

He loved a good glass of wine, his famous slivovitz, ak100, morue, and mais moulu, from his adopted-country of Haiti.

He was a kind and generous man whose loss is felt by all those who loved him.

Marie-Thérèse succinctly summarized their 60 years by saying « He taught me to love ».

He will be remembered on august the 15 2023
