C’est avec grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de M. Antonio Bayya ZARASATE à l'âge de 79 ans.
It is with humble acceptance of God's will that we announce the peaceful passing
of Antonio Bayya Zarasate on July 31, 2024.
He was a devoted and responsible husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend,
cherished by all who knew him. He was the beloved son of his mother Brigida
Bayya and his father Remegio Zarasate, who both passed away some years ago.
Among his nine siblings—Adriana, Mario, Mila, Alfredo, Onofre, Dolphy, Luz,
Edgar, and Marites—four have also left us, remaining fondly in our memories.
He was a proud father to Mary Ann, Lenette, Marlibeth, and Ralphy, who always
showed him their love and continue to honor him. His legacy lives on through his
ten grandchildren—Zeshan, Aisha, Ana, Leanne Joy, Lesther Al, Mac, Kristel,
Ashley, Ivan, and Raprap—who brought immense joy to his life and carry forward
the values he held dear.
Antonio Bayya Zarasate was born on March 1, 1945, in Villasis, Pangasinan,
Luzon. At the age of 15, his family moved to Mindanao in search of a better life. It
was there that he met and married the love of his life Margarita Talon Zarasate,
with whom he raised a loving family. Antonio was a man of remarkable dedication,
working tirelessly to provide for his family by driving his tricycle and tending to
the farm every day. He was known for his hardworking nature, always busy, never
idle, and committed to his purpose.
When Antonio and his wife moved to Canada, he was filled with joy, as his eldest
daughter, Mae Ann, had made it possible through her love and dedication. His time
in Canada was a testament to his hard work and determination, and upon returning
to the Philippines, he fulfilled his dreams of buying his dream car, building a home,
and investing in land.
Antonio took immense pride in his family’s accomplishments and cherished each
of them deeply. He found joy in simple pleasures like planting trees, dancing,
fishing and collecting hats.
In this time of grief, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who have offered their
support, comfort, and heartfelt condolences. Your kindness has been a source of
strength for us during this difficult time.
