With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Fotini Kalarema on October 29th, 2024 at the age of 86. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us after a courageous battle. Fotini was the devoted mother of Nicky (married to Pierre) and Demetra, and a cherished grandmother to Gregory, Ana, Matthew (married to Hannah) and Rebecca. Her love, warmth, steadfast support and friendship will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Fotini shared a close bond with her siblings, sisters Pota (Elias), Tasia (Ilias), Yannoula, (Kostas) and brother George (Eleni). Their love and unity were a testament to her values of family, strength, and hard work which she passed down to her children and grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at her visitation on Thursday, October 31st. A funeral ceremony honouring her life and legacy will be held on Friday, November 1st. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
She will forever be remembered for her resilience, fierce spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends. May her memory be eternal.
