I had the pleasure of referring to Ioannis as “Pappou” during my time with him in Crete with the Michakis family. Whether it was watching him go swimming every single morning at the beach, or seeing how much he enjoyed sleeping outside on the balcony, Ioannis truly enjoyed life to the fullest.
