C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Madame Johana Meshaka (Rifaï) à Montréal le 16 mai 2024 à l'âge de 89 ans.
Elle était l'épouse de feu Mohamad Fayez Rifaï.
Johana était la mère de Fayza (Chamma), Layla (Tahhan/ElDada), Mayssa, Omar (Wendy Houston), Rana (Philippe Guillot), Lina (Sabelli), Nabil et Hany (Giliane Bouchain). Fière grand-mère, elle laisse également dans le deuil 24 petits-enfants et 9 arrière-petits-enfants.
Prédécédée par son mari (27 mai 1993), ses sœurs Leila Hindo, Nelly Boulad, Nouha Aroichane, Samira Beitinjaneh et son frère Joseph Meshaka, elle laisse également dans le deuil ses sœurs Houda Sioufi, Mouna Sabeh et Nawal Bitar.
Johana était une femme déterminée avec une force de caractère remarquable. Elle était généreuse et loyale. Selon ses souhaits, il n'y aura pas de service funéraire.
Nous tenons à remercier l'Institut de cardiologie pour les bons soins prodigués.
Au lieu de fleurs, nous vous encourageons à faire un don à la fondation de l'Institut de Cardiologie et aux organisations qui envoient de l’aide humanitaire en Syrie.
La famille va recevoir les condoléances le dimanche 9 juin, 2024 de midi à 17h.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Johana Meshaka (Rifaï) in Montreal on May 16th, 2024, at the age of 89.
Predeceased by her husband, Mohamad Fayez Rifaï (May 27th, 1993), she is mourned by her children Fayza (Chamma), Layla (Tahhan/ElDada), Mayssa, Omar (Wendy Houston), Rana (Philippe Guillot), Lina (Sabelli), Nabil & Hany (Giliane Bouchain). She will also be missed by her 24 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her sisters Leila Hindo, Nelly Boulad, Nouha Aroichane, Samira Beitinjaneh and her brother Joseph Meshaka. Her sisters Houda Sioufi, Mouna Sabeh and Nawal Bitar also mourn her.
Johana was a determined and strong woman. She was loyal and generous. As per her wishes, there will not be any funeral service.
The family thanks the Institut de Cardiologie for their amazing care provided to our mother.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to make donations to the Foundation of the Heart Institute and to make donation to organizations that send humanitarian aid to the Syrian population.
The family will receive the condolences on June 9th, 2024, from noon until 5pm.
