“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paraskevi Papagrigoriou, age 71, on January 6th, 2025. She was born in Rhodes, Greece, on June 17th, 1953, but moved to Montreal at a young age where she built a life full of love, strength, and resilience.
Paraskevi was a woman of remarkable independence and courage and her deepest love was her for her three children Billy Zouroudis, Andrea Papagrigoriou, and Panagiota Papagrigoriou.
Her fierce determination and selflessness were the cornerstones of her life, and she will always be remembered for the sacrifices she made to ensure her children had everything they needed.
Paraskevi was also a woman of many passions. She was an exceptional cook, known for her ability to create meals that brought people together. Her happiest moments were those spent around the dinner table, watching her loved ones savor the meals she had lovingly prepared. In addition to her culinary talents, Paraskevi had a deep passion for politics and a sharp intellect. She was someone who always had something insightful to contribute and was constantly seeking knowledge and staying informed about the world.
Paraskevi’s legacy lives on through her children, Billy, Andrea, and Panagiota, as well as her granddaughter, Elena Menexis. She is also survived by many dear relatives and friends who were fortunate to know her.
May her memory be eternal.
