Just days after his 77th birthday, our beloved Timothy John passed peacefully from this world to continue his journey into another realm.

Predeceased by his parents, his brother Ronald George and sister Nancy Louise, he leaves to mourn his sisters, Wendy Gay and Mary Lynne Charbonneau, nieces Brenda, Victoria, Rebecca, Katrina, his nephews, Peter, Sean, and Devon and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Tim was a peaceful gentle soul who spent many happy and fulfilling hours in his garden. His love and respect for nature was his way of being. No critter was ever stomped upon, but gently guided from his house to the outdoors where it belonged.

Music infused his soul, which led him to join a rock band in his youth. The Rabble were well known in the West Island back in the 60’s, bringing Tim a sense of accomplishment and tremendous amount of fun. And fame. And joy. Strong friendships were formed with his bandmates and fans lasting right up until the very end.

Mathematics too fueled Tim’s passion and after graduating from McGill University, he accepted a post in the I.T. Department, working his way up to Project Manager in Payroll.

No funeral was held at his request, but a gathering will take place at Fritz Farm in Baie d’Urfe this summer.

Envoyez vos messages de condoléances.

Ms Shirley Whyte

I worked with Tim for many years. He was a very kind co-worker. He had a wonderful sense of humour. He also drew occasionally and his artistic ability was impressive. I’m very sorry that he is gone. I will miss him.

Send your condolences.

My absolute deepest condolences to friends and family. I received a call Informing me of Tim's passing. I immediately went into shock. Tim was a Big Brother, a Mentor, and a true friend when I needed a shoulder to cry. He was the gentlest, kindest soul I ever knew. Despite my deafness among other disabilities, Tim always made me felt welcomed and comfortable. We've known each other for nearly 30 years, worked together at Mcgill, trained during lunch at the Mcgill gym. Continued to train at the Dungeon gym after retirement. Tim always mentioned I was a mentor to him but in reality, it was the other way around. I would have never gotten far without his loving kindness, words of wisdom, encouragement, and enthusiasm. My wife and kids loved Tim dearly. Whenever Tim came around our home, my dogs couldn't get enough of him. That tells me, Tim had the soul of an angel. Whenever he would encounter an insect while working in his garden, he would gently place it in safer grounds. I will alway remember and treasure the memories of the road trips we took around the country checking out antique cars. As many of you know, Tim was the bassist for the popular 60's group called the Rabble. He continued to be involved in music by volunteering teaching many to play the bass guitar. See you later on the other side. Rest in peace my dear Brother.
