C’est avec grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de Vasilki Varoutsos (nee Vlahakis)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vasilki Varoutsos (nee Vlahakis)
Vasilki was a pious Greek Orthodox Christian, devoted wife, wonderful sister, and the most loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was brave and resilient, coming to Canada in 1957 on her own from Alevrou, Greece.
Through her faith, hard work and determination, she was able to create a wonderful life for herself and for multiple generations. Known for her kindness, humbleness, and no nonsense attitude, she was able to put a smile on everyone's face, and was praised and admired by all.
She was loved and adored by her family who she always took care of and showed unconditional love to. She was one of the most generous, selfless, joyful, and caring women that we had the honour of knowing and learning from. Her love, beauty, strength, class, wit, laughter and wisdom will be deeply missed, but her memory will remain eternal.
May she rest in peace.
