It is with great sadness that the family of Veronica Suzanne Cizmar announce her passing on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the age of 55.
Veronica will be lovingly remembered by Alex Nguyen, her partner of 14 years, her sisters Marianne and Milana, her niece Marley, and nephew Adam. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary Cizmar.
She loved music and pursued her passion by attending the Royal Conservatory of Music. She continued to teach piano for many years, sharing her love for music with countless students.
Her adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, spending cherished time in Spain, Vietnam, and South Africa. She was also a successful entrepreneur, owning several businesses, including “Some Like It Vintage” and “Adley and Company”, through which she generously donated part of her earnings to the Redwood Shelter.
A woman of many talents, Veronica achieved a second dan black belt in karate, a testament to her determination and competitive drive. Her involvement in the karate community brought her friendships and respect, including her meeting with Alex during a club trip to the Bahamas in 2010. Together, they built a loving home in Montreal with their dog Nina and transformed a fixer-upper into a haven where her creativity flourished alongside Alex's, from redecorating to major renovations.
