C’est avec grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de Yum Oy MOY 梅 蔭 藹 le 24 janvier 2024.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yum Oy MOY 梅 蔭 藹 on January 24, 2024.

In the early afternoon of January 24th, 2024, surrounded by his family, our father Yum Oy Moy passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Dad will especially be remembered for his sense of humour, his creative handyman skills and his musical talent.
Born to Lan Hoi Moy (nee Chan) and Ngai Ng Moy on April 26th, 1930 in Guangzhou, China. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 64 years Mee Kiu Moy (nee Seto), and his 8 siblings.
He is survived by his 5 children William (Mei Ching), Susan (Kwok Chu), Mylene (Douglas), Wayne (Kazué) and Cindy (Amélie), his 13 grandchildren Lindsay (David), Brandon (Maple), Belinda (Jeremy), Justin (Thi Hang), Melissa, Steven, Nolan, Valerie, Calvin, Michael, Alexandra, Guillaume and Gabrielle, his 3 great-grandchildren Lea, Emma and Noah, and his many nieces, nephews and relatives from across Canada, the United States and China.
He will also be missed by his friends from the Montreal Chinese Opera Club.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the entire staff at the Respiratory Division of the Royal Victoria Hospital for their exceptional care, kindness and support.
Visitation will be held on February 6th from 14:00 - 19:00 at the Complexe Funéraire Aeterna, 55 rue Gince, Ville St-Laurent.
Service will be held at Aeterna on February 7th from 09:00 - 10:00 with the procession and interment to follow at the Mont-Royal Cemetary.
