It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, Evangelia Nanos, age 94, on July 28, 2025. Wife of the late Costas Mougios, Evangelia leaves to mourn her children, Antonia (Dimitrios) and Anthony (late Lorraine) as well as her grandchildren Costa (Politimi), Niko (Niki), Vanessa (Gregory) and Zoe, along with her nieces and great grandchildren. 

Vangelitsa was the heart of our family. Her warmth radiated through her incredible cooking, her generous spirit, and her gift for making everyone feel welcome. She was a gracious host, a nurturing mother, and a grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She and Costa shared a deep and enduring love, celebrating life together with joy, especially during their cherished summers in Greece. Their bond was a beautiful example of partnership, laughter, and shared dreams.

The family will receive condolences at Aeterna Funeral Complex, 55 Rue Gince, on Wednesday July 30 between 4:00-9:00 p.m. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2455 Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, on Thursday July 31
