With deep sadness we announce the passing of Mikal Nasr on May 6, 2025.

Mikal is survived by her daughters Randa [Daher Atie], Claude [Salah Bahouth], and Viviane Gedeon; her grandchildren Rana, Roula, Zeina, Hala, and Gaby; and her ten great grandchildren.

Born in Haifa, Palestine in 1930, Mikal Nasr immigrated to Lebanon in 1948 where she met and married her spouse of late Karim Gedeon and raised her three daughters: Randa, Claude, and Viviane.  Devoted to her daughters, Mikal dedicated her time and skills to their well-being and guiding them to live a life rooted in Christian values.  In 2004 Mikal immigrated to Canada to be reunited with her daughters.  She cherished family gatherings, and found great fulfillment in being a companion to elderly residents in skilled nursing facilities and helping immigrants learn English and French.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, May 11 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Aeterna Funeral Complex, 55 rue Gince, Saint-Laurent, Qc. H4N 1J7.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, May 12 at 11:00 am at the Cathedral St. Sauveur, 10025 Acadie Boulevard, Montreal, Qc. H4N 2S1

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Mikal Nasr to the Cathedral St. Sauveur or the Ladies’ Aid Society.
