It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nestor Gravas, a loving husband, devoted father, caring grandfather, supportive sibling, and cherished friend to all who had the privilege of knowing this good-natured human being — a generous man who always put others first until the very end, very sadly, leaving this world on December 4th, 2025 at the age of 85.
Born in Siatista, Greece on March 8th, 1940, Nestor had to grow up quickly, working to support his family as early as age 12. A resourceful and very determined young man, who despite not having a higher education, managed to become trilingual and eventually open up a business with his brother, Athanasios, fully embracing Canada as his new home with the remarkable courage of a warrior — the same fortitude that allowed him to valliantly combat health issues over the years that would eventually claim his life after a long hard-fought battle of mind, body, and soul.
Having recently lost his last remaining sibling, Eleftheria, Nestor leaves behind his immediate family: his beloved wife, Esther, his two adoring sons, Spiros and Sotiris, and his treasured grandson, Matthew, who will brave life without him.
He will always be deeply missed and remembered for his kindness and strength of character — his memory, a reminder to all to always do your best and never give up.
May he know everlasting peace in Heaven.
