C’est avec grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de Stavroula KOUTOULAS KONSTANTINAKOU, à l’âge de 92 ans.

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved Stavroula (Voula) Konstantinakou Koutoulas. Voula, known to many as Yiayia Voula, was the foundation and steady rock in the lives of so many around her. She was a woman who sacrificed her life for her family by embarking on a journey from Aeropoli, Laconia, Greece to Canada, where she met and married Konstantinos Koutoulas, who has been patiently waiting for her in heaven for the last 26 years. She was later joined in Canada by her incredible sister, Sotiria Kariotakis who was by her side every single day. 

Voula will be remembered as a woman with a remarkable sense of integrity. She personified what it meant to be loving, caring, compassionate, selfless, happy, resilient, and hardworking. She always shared her positive energy with everyone around her and was truly a shining light. She lived a purposeful and fulfilling life and dedicated her life to the good Lord, Jesus Christ. One of her wishes was for us to light a candle in her honour at church.

She left us peacefully and beautifully in her daughter Antigoni’s arms, after saying goodbye to her entire family. She leaves behind her three loving daughters, Antigoni (Anastasios), Maria (Nikolaos), and Evangelia (Samuel), her sister Sotiria, and her grandchildren whom she cherished greatly: Stavroula Natasha, Evan, Elena (Maxime), Dean (Eliyanna), Ethan, Costa, Arianthi (Alex), and Petros.
