C’est avec grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de Claire DELISPILIOPOULOS née BORRELLI le 26 mars, 2026, à l’âge de 81 ans.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Claire Borrelli Delispiliopoulos on March 26, 2026, at the age of 81.

 

Born on March 17, 1945, in Calabria, Italy, Claire was the beloved daughter of the late Michele and the late Rosina Borrelli. In 1951,upon arrival in Canada with her parents and siblings, the family made their home in Griffintown, Montreal, Quebec. She lived her entire life in the Montreal area where she centered her life on education, hard work, and strong devotion to family.

 

Claire was the beloved wife of fifty years of Peter Delispiliopoulos, a loving and devoted partner. She was a proud and caring mother to Alessandro (Tina Cochrane), and a devoted stepmother to Michael (Betty Babos) and embraced her role as Nonna to her adored grandsons, Peter and Timothy.

 

Claire loved her dear siblings: the late Tony (Honore Kerwin), Mary Anne (John Dinolfo), Luciano (The late Claire Jensen,), Adriana, and Mario (Ismini Kiriakidis). Claire will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great nephews and nieces, all of whom held a special place in her life.

 

Claire will always be cherished for her kindness, her hospitality, her strength, and the deep love she had for her entire family. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

 

Claire will be deeply missed and forever loved.
