1972 – 2016  It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we have to announce the loss of our much loved daughter sister aunt and greatest friend.  Kimberly Anne Gloade 43 of Burnt Church New Brunswick passed away peacefully on March 27th 2016.   Kim was born in Newcastle New Brunswick to Donna Gloade (Barnaby) and Percy Somerville on September 18 1972.  Kim spent a her early years growing up in Millbrook Nova Scotia where she had many friends and family.   Kim later moved back to Burnt Church First Nation then various other places before finally calling Montreal her home.  Kim lived in Montreal with her partner and friend Yves Brazeau.  Kim had an amazing sense of humour her laughter could be heard from afar she enjoyed laughing and making others laugh with her stories.  She had the kindest heart and would do anything for a friend family member or someone in need.  When Kim gave her hand in friendship she was a friend for life.  She loved spending time with family and friends. She was well known for her big heart caring and generous nature.  Kim counselled consoled gave assistance guidance and support to anyone in need.  Kim was very creative and artistic by nature and enjoyed doing any type of craftwork drawing or painting or expressing herself though poetry.  She is predeceased by her maternal grandmother Gertrude (Gertie) Barnaby maternal aunt Delia Barnaby paternal grand parents Herman and Eva Somerville paternal aunt Carmel Martin uncle Garth Somerville cousin Darcy Somerville her adopted grandparents Levi and Bridget Gloade and  her very good friend Dwayne “Dee Dee” power.  She is survived by her partner and companion Yves Brazeau of Montreal; grandfather Henry Mitchell of Burnt Church NB; mother Donna Gloade of Millbrook NS  and father Percy Somerville of Burnt Church NB; maternal uncles Marvin (Lita) Barnaby of Boston Mass; Donald “Ducks” (Darlene) Barnaby of Millbrook NS Jason (Carrie) Barnaby of Burnt Church NB maternal aunts Wanda Barnaby of Moncton NB Glenda Barnaby of Lewiston ME; paternal uncles Ronnie Somerville Roger Somerville Geronimo Somerville Herman J Somerville Allister Somerville paternal aunts Ursula Somerville Janice Somerville   Lorraine Somerville all of Burnt Church NB; brothers Dana (Tammy) Gloade of Dartmouth NS Richard Gloade of Fredericton NB Jason “JJ” (Alyssa) Barnaby of Burnt Church NB and Frank (Christina) Gloade of Millbrook NS; sisters Bridget (Russell) Gloade of Millbrook NS; Princess (Putnam) Barnaby of Burnt Church NB; Melissa (husband) Hockridge of Hamilton ON; Jackie Lee (Tim) McNutt of Millbrook NS; and Katie McNutt of Millbrook NS; 18 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews; God parents James “Jimmy” Narvey and Lorraine Somerville; many more cousins and family members and friends too numerous to mention. There will be a viewing in Montreal on Saturday April 2nd 2016.  There will be a vigil held on Sunday April 3rd 2016 at 1pm in peace park in montreal.  Arrangements in Montreal are being cared for by Æterna/Aaron’s Funeral Home.  Kim will then begin her final voyage back home to Burnt Church NB.  Viewing will take place at Jason and Carrie Barnaby’s residence on 513 Bayview Drive   Burnt Church NB on Tuesday April 5th 2016.  Prayers will be at 7pm Mi’kmaq prayers to follow.  Funeral service will take place at St.Annes Church in Burnt Church on Wednesday April 6th 2016 at 2pm.  Father Brian Wetmore will be officiating. Funeral arrangements and cremation will be entrusted to Bell’s Funeral Home. VIEWING Saturday April 2 2016 4:00pm Welcome 9:00pm Farewell Funeral will take place in New Brunswick at a later date.
