Giuseppe Polito, born on June 9th, 1954, in Cirella, Reggio Calabria, Italy, passed away peacefully at his home in Montreal on Oct 17,2024 at 5:20 A.M., after a brave battle with brain cancer. He was 70 years old.
Giuseppe’s life was a testament to strength, resilience, and leadership. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, he was a guiding light to his family and a source of support. He led by example, inspiring those around him with dedication and quiet strength.
He was predeceased by his father, Rocco Polito. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Polito, with whom he shared a deep bond and lifelong partnership of 48 years. Giuseppe was the proud and loving father of Elisabetta Polito (Jason Danowski) and Vittoria Polito (Amir Hazemi). His love for his daughters was boundless, and they will carry his wisdom and strength in their hearts. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Roman Joseph Danowski and Hope Victoria Danowski, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Giuseppe is survived by his mother, Maria Carmela Gareffa Polito, and his two brothers, Antonio (Maria Caterina Raco) and Nick (Giovanna Catalano) Polito. His extended family, friends, and community, will forever remember him as a beacon of strength and leadership.
Funeral services will be held at Urgel Bourgie / Athos - Complexe funéraire St-François d'Assise
6700 Rue Beaubien E, Montréal, QC H1M 3E3
on Thursday October 24, with a viewing from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 9pm.
Mass will be held at Mission Maria Ausiliatrice 8550 Av. Joliot Curie, Montréal, QC H1E 4H7.
On Friday October 25 at 11am
The Burial will Follow at Le Repos Saint-François d'Assise
