Michael GOOD

1962-2024 22 juin 2024

Passed suddenly on June 23rd, 2024, of natural causes.

Born November 17th, 1962, in Montreal, the sixth child of Frank and Mary Good. Michael welcomed four more siblings and went on to enjoy growing up in a family of ten kids. Predeceased by his parents and brother Terry, Michael is survived by brothers Perry (Cathy), Larry (Donna), Ray (Nikki), Mark (Melanie), Ken (Ingrid) and Keith (Melanie); sisters Valerie (Doug) and Pam; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Content with the simple things in life, Michael enjoyed the records and CDs he collected, a few enjoyable concerts and time spent with family. A kind soul, he had a genuine interest and caring curiosity for what was going on in his family members’ lives. Michael always enjoyed catching up with family and friends.

A special Thank You and acknowledgement to Dr. De Ciccio for her long-term care, and to the PAC Team out of Lakeshore General Hospital who provided wonderful support and care to Michael over the last number of years.

Cremation to take place with internment to follow at a later date in Good Corner, New Brunswick.

 

Eldor Hugo Gemst

Eldor Hugo Gemst Montreal businessman and photographer died at his home on Ile Bizard at the age of 71.

He was the only son of Gunar Gemst and Livia Panga, both of whom were born in Riga, Latvia, and immigrated to Canada as refugees at the end of World War II.

Eldor was an outdoor enthusiast, sailor, motorcyclist, cyclist, and computer techie.

He recently taught himself leather and canvas crafting during the Covid years. Eldor loved his cats.

Eldor’s passing represents the end of the Montreal Gemsts directly involved in the multi-generational establishment well-known in Montreal for picture framing, art supplies and fine art.
