It is with deep sadness that the family of Peter

Czinke shares his sudden passing on June 12,

2026.

Known for his warmth and wonderful sense of humour, 

Peter was a passionate musician who enjoyed making

Music with his friends.

Peter was kind, welcoming and was well-liked by his numerous friends and acquaintances.

He will be sorely missed by his sister,  Dagmar , brother-in-law

Rainer and his many friends.

Bill Furey

1947-2026 June 9, 2026

Bill Furey passed away June 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, faith, and quiet grace.

A solitary figure by nature, Bill was a poet at heart and a gifted writer.

He knew his history and knew his literature extremely well.

A familiar presence in Montreal, Bill walked faithfully four times each day and was never too busy to stop, share a conversation, or offer a friendly greeting to anyone who crossed his path.

At his core, Bill was a kind and gentle soul whose warmth touched many lives.

Bill was a good friend of Leonard Cohen.

A devout Catholic, he attended Mass almost every day and lived his faith with humility and conviction. He had a great line that he always used, no matter who he spoke to:

" if you have the Lord on your side, you have everything"

May he rest in eternal peace ... for now he has everything
