It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph WADE at the age of 74.
C’est avec grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de Joseph WADE à l’âge de 74 ans.
Peacefully and surrounded by love, Joseph Alan Wade, age 74, passed on July 29th, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
Born February 1st, 1948, Joe was predeceased by his parents, Henry Wade and Eileen Ryan, brother Kerry, and sisters Julia and Catherine.
Joe was an avid golfer, reader, and sports fan, but his deepest love was reserved for his cherished children, Justin (Julie), Joanna (Neil), and Alexander, his grandchildren Jake (India), Ben, Cameron, and Jenna, as well as his adopted grandchildren Karsten and Ella, his nephew Dan, nieces Cathy and Maureen, and his partner of many years, Sandra.
"Poppa", as he was known to many, developed many meaningful friendships over the years and enjoyed the camaraderie of others over a good joke and a cold beer. He left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
A tribute to Joe's life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the CHEO Foundation or La Maison des Collines would be appreciated by the family.
